Yes, so badly sometimes that I never use the present they gave
me and it just sits around until I give it to someone else as a present. Does that mean I am a re-gifter?

No. A gift is a gift. It isn't some sort of transaction, or an IOU, or a U O Me.
If they sincerely give you a gift, it is appropriate to sincerely thank them, and saying thank you is nice, and sending a sincere card expressing your thanks is even nicer.

no i don't because its the thought that counts,,sometimes its me with a gift and i get the card and that doesn't bother me either....i don't match gift for gift or card for card......
