Now that I have your attention. I am wondering how it makes you, the homosexual community & the homosexual individual, feel when so-called normal people try to change who you are? By that I mean telling you to "just change who you like" in whatever form they have deemed acceptable.
You dont have to get too specific as I imagine this may be a painful subject. I'm just curious how it makes you feel and does it affect you and your partner[s] relationship at all.
Also, just out of curiosity and wondering if I should start a support group. Is there alot of domestic violence in homosexual couples? I know theres alot in heterosexual couples but am wondering if the fact that you are same sexed makes getting along/relating easier.
I am not trying to start a fight, I just want to help others. Thank you.

My basic reaction these days is to mentally roll my eyes and think "Oh Gods, another one of those." Being bi I get it just as much from gays as straights, both keep telling I have to choose, but neither can give me a reason why I have to choose, and they both tell my I'm wrong when I say I can't be gay or straight, I'm bi.

I am straight, married, with children, and have never had any homosexual tendencies or desires (quite the contrary), but I have often wondered how homosexuality is defined.
Given 3 people as follows, one is obviously homosexual, but what about the other two? Which, if either, or perhaps both, is homosexual?
Person A is attracted to those of the same gender and is intimate with them.
Person B is not attracted to those of the same gender but is still intimate with them.
Person C is attracted to those of the same gender but remains intimate only to those of the opposite gender.
This could be reversed and applied to heterosexuality as well.
To me, personally, A and C are homosexual.. or at least, have homosexual tendencies. But I've never been able to fully decide on an answer myself. I'd be curious to hear what others (hetero, homo, and bi) would have to say about this... perhaps I should ask my own question lol
But to answer your question, I guess it depends on how you define homosexuality. I do believe any sexuality can be changed, but whether or not it is healthy or right is another question. Is someone who is celebate sexual at all, regardless of their attraction? I just don't know...

It's already been proven by multiple psychology studies that homosexuality cannot be changed and that trying to do so can lead to some less-than-great consequences.
That said, I don't care if people want to change themselves, but it annoys me when I see them trying to force it on others (especially if those "othes" are their own children/family/friends).
There's probably just as much violence in homosexual as in heterosexual. The only difference between the two are the sexual organs either side has. You'll still get the same problems in any couple because people are people and people are, generally, all the same.
It's just like having a roomate or friend that is there with you *all the time*. You'll get into fights, but you'll have good times as well.

I've been gay since I was born ( I've never gone through the 'confused' bit) and strongly suspect that that it how it is; you can't catch it, it isn't a slur on the way your father raised you, it's just how it is.
It does my head right in when people call it a 'life-style choice.'
I'm never going to change:
a) because I can't
b) even if I could, I'm having too much of a good time.
I've only got two real gripes:
*why do straight people expect me to act all camp? I'm just a normal guy with a guys voice, who likes footy, and wearing mens clothes (yes! mens! not womens!) who just happens to fancy lads.
* Being gay is just ONE small part of who I am, theres so much more to me as a person. Why do straight people make such a big deal?

Homosexuality can be changed by reparative therapy. Don't believe the " born that way" propaganda. Its a behaviour, not a gender.

I believe it's a choice, and that it's not in the genes any more that any other actions. But if someone wants to disagree that's their right.
