i usually have contractions at night,i m 37wks and 6days,baby has dropped too.last night i was contracting after every 15mins.what do you think my labor is near or what?thanks.

It sounds like false labor or braxton hicks. The good news is, your cervix is probably dilating and effacing from those contractions, so you will have less to go through when active labor hits. On the other hand, I went through that for 3 weeks before I went into actual labor. Your baby is considered not premature if born tomorrow. For your sake, I hope your contractions are an indication that labor is near.

You can never tell if labor is near. You are full term congrats. But you won't have that baby until he/she is ready to come out. Just keep that in mind. I have regular contractions all the time and then they'll just stop.

I think false labor. I realize that everyone is different, but most women...once in labor, stay in labor. Not just in labor at night. However, the baby dropping is a sign that you are closer.

Totally normal. Your uterus is gearing up for what it knows is coming. Like taking short runs to gear up before a marathon. Could be tomorrow, could be a few weeks.

Braxton hicks are common and come and go repeatedly.Keep timing them and let your dr. know next visit.
