Is this movie scripted, or did he just go through America with a camera. If you have seen it, is it as good as advertised?

He just went through America with a camera. People that were shown in the movie are now suing because they weren't told they were in a movie until they went and saw it. The movie is ok if you can handle tasteless jokes, nudity and a lot of jokes about sex.

Nope, it's not scripted. Everything is real. It's crazy cuz you won't believe the ridiculous things people say and do in the movie. It's hilarious, and really gives an honest and embarassing picture of American culture today.

According to the latest interview I heard, it was largely spontaneous, which is why it will be an icon movie, though silly. The entire design of the film is to entertain, not ingrain anyone with any deep analytical meanings or thoughts.
I'll see it strictly to be entertained, and sometimes, silly, is refreshing.

haven't seen it, but I know it was made without a script, since people react to borat in not acted situations.

I haven't seen it but I hear it's fantastic.
I think it was half and half (scripted and spontaneous). I heard the cops were called at least 50 times while he was filming.

I saw the movie, and I think almost all of it is scripted, except I think a little bit of it isn't.
P.S. It is an awesome movie, you should see it.

It is awsome. Most isn't scripted. Maybe the opening scene, when he is with the "prostitute," and the ending are scripted....the rest is all improvised.

i think he had a rough idea of what he was going to do.. ie. Meet pam anderson. But no it isn't scripted.
