my mum and her friends are having a christmas cookie party and we are each making a different cookie. It can't be chocolate chip or oatmeal, it has to be unique, i don't know any uninque cookies so I hope someone would give me an idea. thanx

What about Egg Nog cookies? They are really yummy and perfect for the Christmas Season! :)

INGREDIENTS

1 1/4 cups (250 g ) white sugar
3/4 cup (170 g) butter, softened
1/2 cup (120 ml ) eggnog
1 teaspoon (5 ml) vanilla extract
2 egg yolks
1 teaspoon (3 g) ground nutmeg
2 1/4 cups (280 g) all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon (5 g) baking powder
1/2 teaspoon (1 g) ground cinnamon

DIRECTIONS

1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C).

2. Combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon and nutmeg.

3. Cream sugar and butter until light. Add eggnog, vanilla, and egg yolks; beat at medium speed with mixer until smooth. Add flour mixture and beat at low speed until just combined. Do not overmix.

4. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet 1 inch apart. Sprinkle lightly with nutmeg. Bake 20 to 23 minutes until bottoms turn light brown.

Use a regular cookie recipe and add something you like, some fruits, nuts. something that you have never seen in a cookie. Add something colorful too, it makes them attractive.

STAINED GLASS COOKIES

These are always a hit! Simple, colorful...no bake..you'll love them.


1 c. chocolate chips
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c. sifted confectioners sugar
3 c. colored mini-marshmallows
1/2 c. walnuts, finely chopped
Coconut

Melt chocolate in double boiler, cool 5 minutes. Blend in egg and sugar. Stir in marshmallow and nutmeats until well mixed. Shape into a log on waxed paper. On second sheet of waxed paper spread coconut. Transfer log to it and roll to coat it completely. Wrap in wax paper or foil and refrigerate until ready to slice.
