I am going to build a small fleet of Real mech's. 15 foot tall robots in which you sit inside and use joysticks to walk around and battle other mech's. There will be sensors on the mech's, and you will use giant paint balls to battle the other mechs, about 4 on each team. different first person shooter games will be played, such as death matches, capture the flag, team death matches.

My question is, how much would people be whilling to pay to be able to pilot a REAL Mech and battle other real mechs. I am thinking that each session will be for 4 hours.

thanks for your response.

name, mike (using finance's yahoo account)

Actually, the price will be more around 6k maximum. it will be made of diamond plating, or another type of steel. it will use hydraulics controlled by electrical servos. It will be controlled by a dot net app that will send messages to the servos through a development board. and yes. i will have sponsors, i am hoping when nvidia finds out i will be on G4 they will jump at the investment opportunity.
Technology wise, this is certainty no special feat. many robots that can emulate any human movement have already been made. this is just a different type. my concern is the business aspect. to actually battle in a real mech, on a real battlefield, against a real enemy. not images made of pixels on a crt screen.
so again, what would it be worth to you to have real battles in a real mech?

unless you have the hook up with supplise or you are already a millionair
and you can put it on a cheap rental price
or sell the design to a company who will pay you a crap load

not any amount.
just to build them would require millions of dollars.

you'd have to charge at $10,000 per person just to make up that expense.
