I noticed that I lack self-discipline in many different ways. What are some ways to overcome this ill-coming?

I don't think it's only "self-discipline." I think it's discipline from others too. Like, for example, have you ever been suspended or punished in any form for being late to work? Do people get angry with you when you're late to meet them? The answer to both of these is 'no.' Your boss and everyone else laughs about it. Nobody gives you hell, hence you find no desire to correct your tardiness. I know this answer should probably go under your "how do I become more punctual?" dilemma, but it fits under this question as well. It's not ALL your fault, believe it or not. However, the part that IS your fault is all mental. It takes serious mental strength to conduct one's life in a matter pleasing to yourself, and those around you. All you really have to do is try. It's that easy.

Self discipline is one of the fruits of the spirit. Praying, staying in the word will help you to grow and become more mature in the spirit. This is one area I'm working on.

Self-knowledge usually precedes self-discipline. Best of luck!

Make a schedule and then stick to it. Having it down on paper is a good reminder.
Talking it out with yourself in the mirror will help you remember why you want to do it also helps. To know something and then to hear it makes it stay in your memory.
