I have been given the opportunity to model for the magazine. I have been told the shot will be quite "racy" and I will probably have to wear a bikini.

For those who don't know this is a lads magazine that borders on soft porn.

My concerns:
- I have a professional career
- I don't have a perfect body
- I'm worried it will look sleazy

HOEWEVER

It is very flattering and a once in a lifetime oppotunity.

Advice please?

I think at the end of the day, after the cash they pay is gone, how will you feel about people you know and strangers having access to these photos, remember they will be on the web for ever! If you are fine with that, like I would be if it were me then go for it. About being concerned about your body, if you were asked to do it, there is nothing they can't touch up on the computer to make you flawless, you know the girls in the mag aren't 100% the way they seem! Good luck!

It's a really sleazy rag - I don't have concerns about having sexy pictures taken - if you are a model - you could have some control over that, and it's your life, and in many respects a bit of an opportunity. However, what you won't have control over is the editorial - the words over the pictures - that will put you in a whole new context, and won't be at your control - and that is what would concern me. Say for example you are simply posing in a bikini, looking good, but your shot is used in a completely different context - eg a headline of (just for example) "hot *w*hores from eastern europe coming over to give us free totty" - would you be so happy - if your children saw it in years to come? If you can get a contract where you have some assurances as to how your picture will be used, go for it - but be very careful - having a glamour photo taken is a bit like sending an email - never do anything which you wouldn't be prepared to read again/show off in front of anyone, in great detail. Good luck with the career - and go with your gut instinct!

Yes if I were you i would defiantly go for it, you WILL look great trust me, do you ever see a model in a magazine that doesn't. Don't ever put yourself down always think the best of your self. It would not look sleazy. Perfection is a very hard thing to achieve with the human body but if you have been given this chance you must have something magic about you.

Looking forward to seeing you in the mag soon then : )

Read Nuts and make your own mind up.

By the time the phots have been tarted up, you will have a perfect body - the fact that you've been given the opportunity mens you must look pretty foxy anyway.

If I had the opportunity to do something like that, I'd go for it - far better to regret the things you did than wonder what might have been if you had had the confidence.

Nuts doesn't look sleazy, anyway. Sleazy is the Sunday Sport, now THAT really is nasty.

Once in a lifetime? OMG, they get every slapper going in Nuts! I've seen prettier pitbulls!

If you're really serious about modelling, I'd go somewhere professional. Would you really want to be associated with a load of braindead, ugly dogs?

if you have a professional career, then I'm sure you have a brain in your head. Use it.

i think this is an issue of self respect. why exactly would you want to appear in a cheap throwaway **** rag, surely you are better than that.

also, there is no such thing as a once in a lifetime opportunity when it comes to modeling for some lads mag or similar.

It depends how confident you are with your body! If you have a boyfriend you should definately discuss this with him, he might not like you in nuts! I f you think it's something you will regret don't do it, think about how many boys will be looking at you if you do it! My friend has been in Nuts more than once but she is very happy with her body. If you won't mind showing thousands of people your body go for it! But otherwise I would seriously think about refusing.

I would have to say pass. Model for a professional magazine that doesn't deal with porn. Since you have concerns, decline the offer and find another suitable magazine for you.

Considering some of the big names who have modelled for Nuts i can't see why you'd pass on it.

Any little inperfections will be brushed out and it might be a big break for you.

Think about FHM and how many major stars have done some pics for them, just about every beauty on the planet.

Ok, Nuts is a little big more down market but not a huge amount.
Just make sure you don't get pushed into revealing anything you don't want to, they will try so be prepared to say no.

Have a look at something like Faceparty or Myspace, see how many thousands of girls are on there wearing just underwear all for nothing, your getting paid.

Let us all know and we'll make it the best selling copy ever.
