Can you go to your family doctor and ask for a healthy diet? I am not sure how old you are, i will take it that you are still in school, but take your time getting the weight down. Set a goal to weigh 120 pounds by June...that gives you over 6 months to get down to the "goal" weight. Just make sure you eat healthy and exercise. REMEMBER! if you are a young female that it is very important to take good care of you body..this is the same body that will carry babies on day and become a mother one day. It is very important that you take GOOD CARE OF YOURSELF GETTING DOWN TO YOUR GOAL WEIGHT!

Faster is NOT better, in fact it's quite the opposite. Weight loss is meaningless at best if you just gain it all back and that's typically what happens if you go the fast route.

It takes 3,500 calories burned to lose a pound. If you can create a deficit of 500 calories a day either by exercising more or eating less (or both!) you can lose a pound a week. This is a reasonable rate. You won't feel like you're starving or depriving yourself and you can just adjust your intake a bit when you reach your goal weight so you can maintain it.

The faster is not necessarily the better--in fact that in itself is quite unhealthy. Given that your overall goal is to be healthier, lose it slowly over a few months. Exercise more.
