There is an awesome baby shower site that I have used on both of the baby showers that I have thrown. Babyshower101.com . They have several games that you can do your self and that cost next to nothing.

Baby Shower 101 Games

At my baby shower we played a really cute game called "Deliver the Baby." There were little baby figurines frozen inside icecubes. Each person got an icecube with the baby inside and had to suck on it until the ice melted and the baby was "delivered" first person to deliver the baby wins!! No biting though. It was fun and everyone enjoyed it.

You can buy the baby figurines at Wal Mart in the craft section where cake decorating stuff is.

Another fun one was there was different candy bars melted inside a diaper to look like poop. You had to guess what kind of candy bar it was. Use a different diaper for each candy bar. They used Baby Ruth, Snickers, Kit Kat, Caramello, M&Ms any that would look like good poop. Whoever got the most right won.

At my sister in laws shower we did all kinds of things. Here are a few.

(1) Toilet Paper Squares: everyone tears off of a toilet paper roll how many squares they think will fit around the mother-to-be's belly. Whoever is closest wins.

(2) Guess her middle: how many centimeters do you think her belly is from the top of the belly to the bottom. (the doctor would have the number)

(3) How many names (not just words) can you make out of Pregnancy, Pregnant, Mother to be, etc. in x amount of time. Most wins.

(4) Don't say baby: Everyone gets a clothespin and if someone says "baby" whoever catches them first gets to take their clothespin. If someone with more than one says "baby" then they can get ALL of theirs taken. Whoever has the most at the end of the shower wins.

Hope these give you some ideas and have fun!!!!!!!!!

Famous Mothers:

Tape the name of a famous mother on the back of each guest (this can also be played with famous dads at a male/couples baby shower). The mothers can be fictional moms or real people. Some famous mothers are: Roseanne, Carol Brady, Peg Bundy, Jane Jetson, Wilma Flinstone, Madonna etc. Each person is allowed to ask only "yes" or "no" questions to guess the name of the mother taped on her back. The first person to figure out who she is wins a prize!

We played this game at my baby shower. I may be kind of gross but all of the ladies had fun with it. It's called "My baby is born." You buy a bunch of ice cube trays and fill them with pink lemonade or blue Kool-aid depending on the gender. Then you purchase a bunch of tiny babies and place them in the filled ice cube trays. Let them set the night before the shower. When it's time, place one ice cube in a small Dixie cup and hand one to each guest. Once everyone has a cup, say go and they have to suck not bite the ice cube until the "baby is born. " The winner says "my baby is born." I had fun watching everyone play this game.

one of the big hits at the one I threw was:

I made a sheet labeled Who Knows My mommy? with cutsie pictures and numbered 1-10 or 15. passed the sheets out with pens. Outloud I asked questions such as...Whats mommys age? Middle name? favorite craving? name of the new baby? How long have mommy and daddy been married? things like that...You'd be suprised at how many wrong answers you get... The mom loves reading them.

Then you pass it along and have your neighbor grade your paper. you announce all the correct answers and see who gets the most correct.

This was a huge hit and people were histerically laughing.

Also, taste the baby food and guess what it is, use nasty tasting ones, turkey and gravy, peas, etc. its fun too see the faces of the people.

another one was we bought a bag of diapers and messed one up with poo.( mustard) and taped them all to the bottom of all the chairs, at the end of the party asked everyone to find the diaper on the chair and the messed diaper won a prize.

At my baby shower, we played this really fun game called "Guess the Baby Food". You blindfold one person and give them a bite of baby food (always the yucky peas and stuff LOL!) and have them try to guess what it is. It was a BLAST at my shower, everyone was cracking up at the faces the taster made! Surefire fun!

I have played lots of the ones already listed and they were fun. A variation of the toilet paper squares is to use yarn. Everyone cuts a length of yarn off that they think will fit around the mommy's waist. Closest to exact wins. One that was done at mine was Bingo. It was done in the theme of the party, we used Curious George, and had baby items pictured in the squares instead of numbers.

I think a really good Idea is a raffle. have everyone bring wipes and diapers for every one they bring give them a ticket. Have praises on a table and call out the ticket number. Its great cause people chose there won gift, and the mom to be gets lots of wipes and diapers and then some. Good luck
