Midol
In the long run, I've found that exercise helps immensely with cramps. I used to get lie-in-bed-curl-up-in-a-ball-and-wish-I-was-dead cramps, but since I started walking daily I have almost no symptoms at all.

A hot water bottle always works wonders for me as well as sitting with my knees up,the more stretched out I am the more it hurts. Warm drinks help me too & sometimes if its really bad I'll resort to pain killers.
Hope you feel better soon!
