they wont stop!!?

recently after going out with a few mates they seem to have got it into there heads that i fancie this boy, i dont. they are telling everyone een though its not true and i no it seems stupid but i dont like them doing it!! ive tried telling them but they dont listen, help please, i get really embarrased around every1 i no if they have heard this roomer and i hate it

There will be a too huge of a list of reasons, but still it was an early form of a democracy that was tested out and civilized the Roman Empire for a while, which includes a large amount of territory. Any time you have a decadent society and barbarian symbolizims accompanying a heathenistic world, there is so much conflict that it will refuse to be dicated too for the violence,death and blood shed it was built upon spreds as a virus where all of the others around you develop this same thought and now you have armies that pop up everywhere to defeat their conquerers after they weaken. In the case of Rome it was weakened when Pompeii waged war with Julius Caesar. Yes Julius built the Senate and conquered that known world then and when he wanted to settle in and develop a culture and fix the disease and famon in Rome (the city of light) the Senate would not tolerate this for they would have to give up the wealth that Julius had afforded them from War. They just figured he should just keep fighting and they would sit back and in lust and greed get fat off the profits. He received knowledge an inner peace to be content with what they had accomplished but they assasinated him. Anytime you have an assasination like that and a cruel ruler like Octavian who lusted and got fat off the people that was the beginning of the fall and they never recupperated from that until Marcus Aurelius, and then inevitably they were surviving on one thread. The well know enemies the Huns, Constatine, etc. surrounded and brought the demise of this once thought of good civilizations. Many people (rulers, senators, governors, military men) brought down the city of Rome. Rome never really developed but they had a good concept at first and then the corruption sets in just like our own government today. If you dont clean up your filth, feed your people, provide them with food and shelter, and let disease go rampid, all will fail. When you put people to death in a public display guilty or innocent it gives a bad example of the rulership of any government. No government will survive on terroristic, ruthless tactics ever. There is always someone bigger waiting in the shadows for the crack at the title.

They say that there is no smoke without fire...but that's utter crap.The annoyoing thing about mud is that it tends to stick even if it's not true.I've had occasions were this has happened to me.Those people that know you, and trust you will believe you when you tell them it's not true.Those foolish enough to believe it aren't worth bothering about.If they don't have the nerve to come up and ask you outright then ignore them.Those spreading the rumour in the first place are probably just jealous and the reason they are saying these things is because they secretly want to be you or be with you depending on their sexual orientation.They are being very childish, rise above all and show them you don't care.
All publicity is good publicity, lol.

If you want to nip this rumor in the bud simply speak with the boy that they say you fancy and make it clear to him that you don't like him in that way.
Then you can just relax and say nothing when your friends start joshing you. Eventually your friends will see that teasing you about this boy doesn't get a rise out of you. They will stop bringing it up and the rumor will fizzle out. Good Luck

At this point it sounds like a little rumor and theres not to much you can do but just go on dating and ignore the fact that someone brought up how you facncie some boy, since you got over whatever happend its your turn to let them get over whatever they thought happend.

You have to rise above it. It's your reaction that keeps them going. Either it convinces them you do fancy him, or they just really enjoy teasing you. Give no reaction, and if anyone asks if you are dating, just say "no", in a very level toned voice, as if they had asked if you were going to the Andies, or knew what car you would have in 12 years time.

people jsut generally act stupid. as a friend they should be able to know when to stop with a bad joke when there friend is uncomfortable but since they are the way they are then just kick back relax and let it be what it is you know who u r and who u like and if some one aproches you about it then just tell the truth.

Erm.. I kind of get what you mean, except my friends KNEW i didnt like someone yet they still teased me about it:S, but it still really annoyed me, but try to ignore them completely until they get bored of it. Don't act interested, and don't act annoyed. Just ignore completely. Orrrrr start another rumour about someone else to distract them from this one, so that yours becomes old news!
