I was born on July 10, 1988. I'm 18. I live in San Antonio, Texas. I went to school up until the 9th grade at Harlandale High. Then I got out and enrolled in Thompson Direct, a homeshooling program. I graduated and got a HS Diploma in 2005. (The diploma is from Pennsilvania.) But my friends suggest I go to school to experience high school, and I really want to. So I'm going to try to go to Mccollum High, where my friends go next year when I'm 19 just for my senior year. Its the same district as Harlandale. Could I do it? Is there a law in Texas against it? Could they even know that I have another diploma?

(P.S. Under rare circumstances there ARE people that have 2 diplomas from the same state.)

I see no legal reason to prevent your doing this but I wonder why you would want to do it. You write well and are likely ready to tackle college level work. Why not apply to college and complete your freshman year next year?

I wouldn't suggest it. I don't know much about Texan law but I do know high school diplomas are sort of like marriage licenses. Your PA high school diploma is good in Texas or any other state or jurisdiction that requires proof of secondary education completion.

Why don't you enroll in college? There's nothing like the "college experience" especially when you are young.

You can sure get two high school diplomas. I am a us citizen in mexico and when I graduate i will get the international (us) diploma and the mexican diploma. But to be honest, high school is a pain in the ***. Travel arounf the world with the money that you would've spent in your high school year. It is a better choice and you would learn many more things.

When I was in high school 105 years ago (lol), there was a kid in there who had a diploma from one school, and he was going to regular high school to get his second one. Which he did. Good luck to you.
