I have an 8 wks class in square dancing. I've been to only one class in 3 weeks, 2 weeks of that I had a doctor's excuse from a horrible illness.

I talked to the instructor beforehand and asked if I should just drop the course, she said "oh no, just work hard to catch up.. you don't have to drop it".

After class a guy went to talk to her as I was leaving class and he had told her he had the flu. She said "I'm sorry, but you'll have to drop the class. You've only been here once and there is no way to catch up".

What do you think of this? I thought about talking to her superiors but I might risk getting myself in trouble, and I really need the class to keep my financial aide.

Am I thinking too far into this? I really think she's racist because of the way she teaches another student.

Well think of it this way. Do what you would want someone to do for you if the roles were reversed. Racism is still alive and well and the only way to put an end to it is to expose those ignorant people who are still active participants. I would expose her. You have to stand up for something or you will fall for anything.

There may be more here than meets the eye. Talk to the guy who had to drop. Or just drop it yourself. Why cause trouble?

I agree with kbenji33. Report it anonymously and then stay out of it. As it was mentioned, there may be more to this story that you don't know.

i think you should tell someone because that is just racies. you tell your friends, family member and see if they can do something about it. because i think everyone should be treated the same because no one is not perfect.
