Thanksgiving is supose to be a political holiday for the establishment of White people to this country. And a sacred pack with the Indians who helped them to survive.
A mutual agreement that they would help each other.
Wether they kept that promise or not, this is not supose to be a religious holiday or the mixing of politics and religion.
Washington set it up and then the next president wouldn't celebrate it for fear it would be a mixing of religion and politics.
Then Abraham Lincoln re-established it. With the agreement that it not be a religious holiday. Since shortly there after was Christmas. So, it is a celebration of the white man's coming to North America and joining with the Indians already here.

Maybe the people you share Thanksgiving with don't say they are thankful for Jesus, but many others do.

Talk about carrying things too far! Thanksgiving is not a religious holiday..it's about being thankful for real things like family, friends, health, a nice home etc.

Because the ACLU would probably turn Thanksgiving into "Fall Holiday" or something, after they completely wipe Christmas off the calendars. Why hasn't anyone sued the ACLU yet?
