A primary source is the one that is closest to the original information. So a letter, written by the actual person, would be the primary source. The further you get from that original, the less reliable the information becomes. So a book which REPRINTS the letter is better than a book which just mentions it or paraphrases it. A TV show about the letter, or the person who wrote it, is even further from the original. An encyclopaedia article is also far removed from the original. Take as an example a letter written by a soldier in the Civil War. That is pretty reliable as a source of information on the War. But the other sources you've mentioned would not only be further removed, they would also contain other writers' opinions and interpretations of the War. Hope this helps.

It's definitely a letter. The book, TV show, and encyclopedia article are all secondary sources - they had to get their information from someone else and then pass it on.

i stands proud because the first to confess that i recognize next to not something about Islam; i tried to study the Koran and were given by very few chapters. I purely don't have a lot of an interest in it. I did the Christianity ingredient for decades, study the Bible 4 cases cover to cover, went to Sunday college, Catechism instructions, were given shown, attended church facilities, prayed and browse and prayed some extra. yet on the decrease back of my recommendations replaced into the understanding that my mom's kinfolk had loved the Hindu faith said as Vedanta in view that 1910, and passages from that literature were many times quoted in my residing house. I spent my human being years interpreting each and every thing i might want to locate in this beautiful, deep philosophy. So now i recognize plenty about Vedanta and Christianity, and somewhat about Buddhism.
