The phenomenon of male lactation in humans has become more common in recent years due to the use of medications that stimulate a human male's mammary glands. Though human males have nipples, it is not so often understood that they also have mammary glands. Ordinarily the mammary tissue is low in volume and cannot be noticed. Under the appropriate hormonal stimulus—the hormonal stimulus that nature provides to human females when they become pregnant and give birth—the mammary glands of human males can also produce milk. The volume of milk produced is low relative to that of a lactating female. Male lactation has, in some cases, commenced without hormonal treatments as well.

Male lactation is most commonly caused by hormonal treatments given to men suffering from prostate cancer. Female hormones are used to slow the production of cancerous prostate tissue, but the same hormones also stimulate the mammary glands. Male-to-female transsexuals may also produce milk due to the hormones they take to reshape their bodies. Extreme stress combined with demanding physical activity and a shortage of food has also been known to cause male lactation. The phenomenon was first studied in survivors of the liberated Nazi concentration camps after World War II. Some American POWs returning from the Korean and Vietnam Wars also experienced male lactation.

I hope I answered your question. He should see doctor about this because it could be caused by an unkown health problem.

There are cases of male lactation. He should probably see a doctor. If he is being treated for some disease using hormones that can cause it. Also, if he's into having them squeezed or squeezes them himself, he can release prolactin which will cause lactation.

Below is a reference to Wikipedia, while this is not an authoritative source, it does explain the phenomena.

hi,
in young boys/men the area around the nipples sometimes may become hard,
not unlike that of a pubescent young female...and is generally linked to hormone's etc..this is quite normal.
Your boyfriend should see his doctor . A professional opinion will
help reassure him.

Maybe it a sign that he like you..instead of producing fluid down there- he do it on top.

Or maybe he a cow...Mooooooooooo. Yuk now i hav to go and check all my milk bottles to make sure it come from real cow.

Go do the doctor now. Make sure its a male not a female doctor, or it will turn into a fountain.

He's lactating a bit. Is he on any meds? Lots of drugs have this as a side effect. Could be a hormonal thing, has he been ill? Take him to the docs, its dead common and he'll either change his meds or give him something to stop it.

What size are his nipples, are they small, boy nipples or are they big ones that you could hang a coat on?Try collecting the white fluid and making cheese from it.It could mean that you will get rich.

nipple discharge is likely due to changes, although many things can cause nipple discharge. but I would convince your Boyfriend to visit his doctor and be examined for safety sake, it may be an early sign of cancer .
