I think he has a very, very deep understanding of how the human mind works, he uses psychological 'tricks' - many people can do this stuff but Derren is extremely talented and very quick, which is why he can do all that stuff to people on the street. But it is not 'magic', it really is just an extensive knowledge of how we think. I love his shows!

I understand that he uses "Neuro Linguistic Programming" (NLP) - something to do with the power of suggestion, along with good old fashioned magic tricks. There are a number of books etc about NLP and I suggest that you google NLP to find out more. Good luck in your search.
