A week ago a mouse appeared from nowhere, ran through my living room and hid behind the kitchen counter. I have put out a mouse trap but in vain! There are no mouse droppings to be found. How do I know whether the mouse is still here?

The mouse will only stay there if there is food for him. If you don't leave a source of food for him, he'll leave.

The mouse could of crawled out the hole it came in threw. Mice chew. Have you found anything that is chewed up?

If its not dead in the trap then you still got problems

look for evidence such as poo or bits of food missing or somewhere else, pasta packets with holes in ect
