I recently reread George Orwells 1984 and became quite alarmed with the way this country is starting to reflect to the one in the book, will thought crime soon be a reality?

Well said. Instead of B.B. we have G.B. Im just waiting for people to start saying things like "Double Plus Good". You can tell that anyone who disagrees with the Government is now considered a "Thought Criminal".

Those of us who read "1984" before 1984, waited with baited breath to see what would happen when the time came. Politically it was a bit of a damp squid ! For me came personal sadness as my father died on the 4th. of July 1984, he was an avid reader of Orwell, and often said to me "Mark my words, something will happen in 1984" It did, but not quite in the way he meant it. I can not imagine what he would think about life to-day, so many changes in a mere twenty -two years, un-believable !

Our elites have for the main area gotten too soft, and subsequently corrupt. maximum different secular countries have had revolutions or comparable elite disrupting activities plenty extra at present. there have been 2 circumstances in our u . s .'s background whilst American elites have acted fairly responsibly. the 1st replaced into the founding, and the 2d replaced into during the super melancholy. In the two situations, the elites themselves have been in threat, from a Royalist restoration or a Socialist revolution. i think of we are springing up on a time i like to call: time #3. Our elites are in threat now from the mad canines financial and non secular forces that they themselves have unleashed of their egocentric quest for unbridled ability.

I think it already is John Reid told Muslim parents that if they suspected their children of having anti establishment or radical thoughts they should immediately inform the police .I have thought the same as you for quite a while now.

I think that theyr'e trying their best to bring in a lot of things that will restrict 'freedoms', but they haven't figured on people waking up. Newspaper sales down, Muslim and foreigner bashing up, people against the war. The govt hasn't figured on a whole lot of other factors which might work against them.
