One would think not.
I used to be one of those people who would tut and correct an incorrectly inserted apostrophe, correct tenses, spelling, syntax and grammar.
I still love the English language and like to see it at its best
BUT
In the last few years I have studied culture and communication a lot more and am now of the opinion that language is so flexible that it can't be controlled when you take it out of it's "old school" roots.
It makes me laugh to see people go ballistic over the bastardisation of the English language now (even though that used to be me) - a peak into post colonialism is all you need to see how remarkably versatile our language is and how it has been (cleverly) adapted to suit other cultures.
It's a beautiful thing and very interesting!

You mean they're complaining about your spelling and pronounciation? If so, tell them not to answer your questions then if they're so bothered! I will confess though, sometimes I find questions and explanations that have a lot of abbreviations can be difficult to understand and read. "abt spelling" is easy to read, but if it said "abt splng" then it could make one's brain hurt. :)

I'm not really sure what you're talking about, but if I'm interpreting your question correctly, I think that pronounciation, spelling and grammar are extrememly important as ways to to express yourself. People don't generaly take you seriously if you can't speak or write correctly. Perhaps there may come a day when intelligence is judged by your skill in computer speak, but today is not that day.

@ WilliamG - Being friends for decades and being early existence friends is two diverse issues. And contained in the Latino lifestyle - friends are friends. that is what Silva reported: "Machida is my chum," ... "he's my brother. there's no way that strive against will take position." He reported that Lyoto is his BROTHER! If Dana White doesn't favor to get on both of those guy's undesirable area, he desires to give up pushing the priority. DW says it "has not something to do with being friends". purely exhibits this style of human being he's. He has NO morals. All he needs is the money he can make from the strive against. he's a leach.. low existence scum. pertaining to to Machida's battling kind - he's purely impressive. @ the "Avatar" toddler - sure! Brazilians are also Latinos and the Portuguese Language is a spinoff of Latin. you recognize the way i recognize? that is said as interpreting!

people who complain about simple spelling errors are people who really have no opinion on the question being asked, and just want their 2 points.
