can anyone tell me how long it is safe to leave your laptop computer continuously on in a day(24 hrs)??will it be ok if i leve it on thru the night and also for abt 7 hrs in the mornin??

i am mostly downloadin stuf in the night and wont be usin the comp for any other purpose like openin applications and stuff any suggestions??

Yes, that will be totally fine.
Most laptops are designed to run 24/7 these days. In the early days there were alot of heat problems from laptops running too long, but better cooling technologies have allowed for more robust operating conditions.
Your laptop can safely run for days, weeks, even months at a time.

as long as you use the mains adapter without the battery on as well and you keep it cool then it could in theory stay on indefinitely. my desktop is on pretty much all the time because i network to it from my other desktop upstairs and with my laptop. i give it a break every now and again to carry out routine cleaning of files and stuff

yes, it is ok.
but my Friend would play high intensive games on his for hours and his laptop would just shut off on him because the CPU was getting to hot, so as long as you aren't doing any CPU or RAM tests for 7 hours or running anything intensive, than it should be fine

as long as its plugged in for power you can leave it on as long as you want. I have the screen set to shut off after 15 minutes to save power and restart my computer about once a week. I never leave it off.

my laptop can run for ages. it should b ok to leave it on all nyt as long as ya got it plugged in 2 da power. nd make sure not to many things are going on at once or it could freeze x

you should turn it off at night but you can leave it on as long as you want theoreticaly
