This was the first time I bought protein powder drink for working out. I followed the instructions on the tin - 5 tablespoons of powder followed by 2 cups of milk. The drink seemed quite strong and not all powder completely dissolved. I didn't feel too well half an hour after drinking. Why is that? Milk was fine, I've been using it to make tea before that.

Most protein drinks have a lot of soy in them... it's the base... soy powder and soy protein isolates.

Some folks have difficulty digesting soy and some are allergic. If you don't normally have soy in your diet, try adding small amounts at first before adding the whole amount to give yourself a chance to adjust and to determine if you have an allergy.

Also, two cups of milk is hard all at once if you don't usually have that much dairy in your diet... so you might be having a problem with the dairy. Try using Rice Milk to mix it with instead.

dude, don't worry about it. Usually when someone starts to take a new substance, such as a protein drink, not only will it taste bad, but you may feel bad

Just keep doing such, and if the pain persists, then you should stop and see a doctor

Protein shakes are binding, meaning they tend to constipate. this may be why you felt not too well.
Also, try using a blender next time...to help it dissolve totally.
You can also add fresh fruit (blueberries, strawberries, a banaba, etc); some ice cream; yogurt...to make it more flavorful and/or nutritious.

In interpreting purely the first line you wrote, i can inform you that you're ingesting too a lot protein. As I study on, i extremely recognize you're ingesting too a lot protein, plus the combination of fat instantly. that is hard for our bodies to digest fat. that is likewise complicated for our bodies to digest animal protein. i do not mean animal protein from meat, I mean protein from any nutrients that comes from an animal, so this contains eggs. there's a wide false impression that everybody is informed (many times by deepest operating shoes, nutritionists, and their health club pals) and that is, "in case you eat extra protein you receives larger." it really is not authentic in any respect. The liver can purely procedure 20-30 grams of protein in a unmarried sitting, so in case you eat more effective than that it turns right into a waste. that is going to both be excreted by the urine (which if the kidneys won't be able to procedure it speedy sufficient can kind kidney stones), or that is going to likely be switched over and saved as fat. it really is yet another false impression in health (many times by deepest operating shoes, nutritionists, and health club pals) is that protein won't be able to be switched over to fat. sure it may. sure it may. sure it may. the reason people do not recognize that is because it isn't switched over on to fat. What do I mean by that? once you eat protein in extra quantities, if the muscle tissues do not favor it, then that is going to likely be switched over to glucose. If on the prompt you're doing not something, that glucose isn't necessary for potential. hence, that is going to then be switched over and saved as fat. each and every thing can convert to fat. fat has to best area for storing of any nutrient, so as it really is the position issues flow even as in extra. besides, your topics with your abdomen may be too a lot protein, too a lot protein mutually of that fat content, or that is another ingredient. I had an similar issue years in the past, formerly I were given into college. I took protein shakes in severe college, and a good number of protein shakes comprise creatine. Creatine replaced into what replaced into giving me difficulty.
