I'm interested in knowing this because I'm a Mexican professor teaching English and sometimes I teach my students culture about the countries where English is spoken

Inadvisable. You should wait until you know them well enough to see if they are receptive to this. Americans place a lot of importance on personal space. You should never touch someone you don't know. At best this would make them awkward and uncomfortable, even if they didn't make a big deal out of it.

how is that question related to teaching? And I'm sure the first thing you would want to teach about someone's culture isn't about their kissing habits.
But to answer, it's okay for some , not for some others. Can't really generalize and say it defines one's culture or not.

It would be considered strange to kiss someone you have just met.
Some people will kiss romantically at the end of a 1st date and this would not be considered strange but some people might not approve of it.

if u plan on kissing them the first time u c them i don't think that is good u should wait til, l8r way l8r so you can get 2 know each other
