Please leave aside all religious arguments and tell me why, legally, you believe that marriage should only be between one man and one woman? Why not two men or two women or two women and one man? Why must it be so specifically one of each?

I think that marriage should be between two people who are in love, regardless of their sexual orientation. It is a special bond between two people held together by love.

I think that marriage should be between one woman and one man in order for the Human Race to continue. Two men cannot conceive children, neither can two women.
In a house hold of two women and one man there will be lots of confusing as the women rival each other. It is very unlikely that this will be a comfortable environment where children can grow and reach their full potential.

First , I think that a man and a man should not be into each other in that way. The same I feel a woman and a woman should not feel that way. If it was so how would we keep population going. To your third question. There is enough diseases out here already why keep infesting. Then if that was so you'd probably want 3men and 3 women. That could go on and on and on and on. And for the last one again two men or two women can not repopulated the world alone. When you look at animals do you see two male birds trying to go at it? Are what about the dumbest animal you can think of do you see them trying to go at it with the same sex? Oh, my bag that would be man.

Marriage should be between two consenting adults of legal age.

I'm not sure I'm ready to give thumbs up on one man and two women, but you forgot to include two men and one woman. The main reason that I would be against polygamy is because unless the family unit can support itself, I don't want to spend my tax dollars on a family of 30 who find themselves on welfare-- and for the record, I feel the same way about people who knowingly live beyond their means and circumstances (i.e., continuing to have children your can't support and passing the lifestyle of public assistance onto your children.)

There is no reason for marriage once you take religion out of it. if domestic partners could get all the exact benefits as married people, I'd never have done it!!!!

Not that I'm bitter or anything.

To say marriage is only btwn a man and woman is to say marriage is only for making babies. Therefore, all married couples should be forced to have babies.

As far as legal issues are concerned, I dont think religion should be any part of it. 2 people in love should be able to marry no matter the gender.......I think there needs to be a greater divide between the separation of church and state. your religious beliefs should not be the basis of laws.......to each their own.

I don't believe that. I believe marriage should be between 2 human beings who love each other and want to plan and live their life together.

According to the law, marriage is between one man and one woman. According to me, the institution of marriage is crap and I think people should be allowed to do what they want in regards to this situation.

Traditionall marriage is a union between 2 people male and female who wish to procreate and create a life.

Male on male or female on female cannot procreate. Yes science, biology and society has enabled them to adopt etc... But that was not not possible when the tradition of marriage began. call it a civil union but leave marriage out of it.
