Check this poll while I don't know how scientific it is, but 87% of 300,000 people seems like a pretty significant mandate from the people.

No, he should not be impeached he should be tried in court like any criminal, and then thrown into a tough prison. Maybe even at Guantanamo for a few weeks of relaxation.

Impeachment is not about elections, but about a criminal activity.... like Clinton being impeached because he lied to a grand jury under oath.

What has this president done that is actually a felony? This so-called call for impeachment is made by ignorant people who do not understand what the impeachment process is.

Clinton was impeached by the House, but not convicted in the Senate. I doubt those people understand that process either, or what the difference is.

No one has accused Bush of any crime; just a difference of opinion in how things were handled. He may have made bad decisions as a president, but he committed no illegal action.

I think he should be. Back when he was beating the war drums to invade Iraq, I didn't think that we had enough evidence to justify it. Bush was basically telling the American people "trust me, the evidence is there, but it's too sensitive to disclose publically." Back then I was willing to trust him, but if we went in and found no wmd, I wanted him impeached.

Since then he's done a hell of a lot more things that deserve impeachment, but I don't think that he could ever be convicted. I think it would give America more international credibility if we at least tried though.

Just because one of the most liberal media websites hosts a poll does not mean it accurately portrays the American people. 300000 is only 10% of the entire population. 40% AT MOST voted. NBC is just feeding to bush haters what they want.

and besides...bush has not committed any impeachable offense. opinions do not warrant crime.

There are about 15 counts that Constitutional scholars say are "high crimes and misdemeanors". If not Dumbya, then how evil would someone have to be to merit it? Would one, say, have to stain a blue dress? Dumbya's picture should be in the Constitution along side of that Article II section, if one was to grant the courtesy concession that he was actually elected in the first place. Down with Dictator Dumbya!!!

I am a Democrat and I believe he violated his oath by ignoring the FISA act, but I suspect that this site is not accurate because it must be entered and the invitation say "should the president be impeached"...the people who do not think he should be probably wouldn't enter the site at all.

No.
There isn't enough time left, and it's a non-issue in little more than 2 years.

Better to simply keep him from destroying any more of our Constitution, investigate whatever abuses have been committed, and work toward a bipartisan participatory government committed to improving things here in America and getting our troops back home with their families where they belong - ALIVE.

Yes but its from the people, the Senate can only impeach, and since he's violated no federal or international law, its not likely, no matter who controls the senate
