I hace had three children via C-section and each time it took about a month for my period to return. However, if you are nursing, it will take longer. Also, I have to warn you, you can definitely become pregnant BEFORE you get your period back, so be careful. Always use birth control of some kind, even if you think you couldn't possibly get pregnant so soon - you can!

been there done that. even though you had a c-section you will still go through the normal after birth bleeding. your regular period will resume a few weeks after that. if you're concerned, talk to your md

It depends a lot. If you don't breastfeed, as low as 4-6 weeks. If you do, it could be several months. There's a big range of normal... and you can still get pregnant before your period restarts, so unless you want stairstep kids keep it in mind!

i bled for 10 weeks after my c-section. But i didn't get my period for a year. Hooray for breastfeeding!
