get a savings account with someone else (like a parent or spouse, depending on your age) and put some money in it every time you get paid. make sure that it is a savings account that requires both peoples signature to withdrawl money. this is what I did when I wanted to save money and it worked great!

Sure. Put a little here and there into your bank. You can try banking at Bank of America. They have a program in which you keep the change. Just use your ATM card and make purchases. For example let's say you bought a cup of coffee for $3.25. 75 cents would go to your savings account that is linked to your checking account. It is that simple & you can set up an automatic transer which the lowest is $25 per month from your checking account to your savings account. You can watch your savings grow. Also you can bank at ING direct and set up automatic transfers too from your checking account and withdraw money every time you need it.

Figure out your monthly expenses. Create an envelope for each one. ie: Rent, Car, etc. Cash your paycheck and put cash in each of those envelopes. Don't cheat from each envelope. If you run out you run out and have to do without in that envelope until the next month. Glenn Kawesch.

Also, remember to have an entertainment envelope.

You need to budget your finances reasonably. Maybe you are spending too much somewhere that you can cut back.
