I got the number of a girlfriend of mines ( A girl who's a friend) and I kinda like her. Well I asked for her number and she gave it to me on November 7th (tuesday), 2006. I still haven't called her. This is a bit extra, but I saw her in the hallway today and she glanced back at me (I think she did, she was kind of far away) and she didn't wave or anything...she just kept walking. Was it because I didn't call her? And when should I call her? I'm a bit nervous about calling her.

Well things may have changed, but in my day it was the '2nd day' rule. Every guy waited two days. So then some guys started waiting three days to be different, and then girls started tolerating 3 days, as if it were 2 days. 3 days sort of became the new 2 day rule. lol. Sounds complicated huh? Well, it's time to call her, guy, you're pushing the 3 day rule!

Well, all I know is you shouldn't try calling her before getting her #, that is the hardest guessing game I've ever played.
Anyways, I have no experience for I am a complete failure at getting a girl to give me her number (actually I'm a complete failure at asking for a girl's # except fer once and that was just plain sad) , but I'd say wait a few days (that way if she likes you she'll get jumpy about whether or not you'll call her, but if she doesn't really like you...why the hell would she give you her number if she doesn't like you?) like, 4 or five days, than call her up.

You should have called her by now.When she looked back at you in the hallway,it was to see if she could tell if you were still interested.
That alone should have given you a message that she is interested...Go call the girl,before she looses interest and finds someone else.
Just call and say,"hey I saw you in the hallway today but didn't get a chance to talk to you,so I thought I'd give you a call,how you doing?" Then let it go from there..Good luck!

wait 3 days and then call again. If you can't reach her again, she's probably not interested. So you should leave it and get a new number.

Don't call her now. If you want to date her next week end wait until Tuesday to call her. Then wait until Thursday to call and confirm. When a guy calls too soon or too often a girl will lose interest usually.

You should probably get up the courage to call her. Usually when you get a number you should call her in a few days within recieving the number. You could say your calling just to see how they were doing. But I would call her.

Girls have a 3 day rule. If you call on the first day, you're too anxious. 2nd day is good. 3rd is a little late, but still OK. We will work with it if it's on the 3rd. Try to stay away from the 1st.

You should call within 2 days of getting the #. Not the same day! However, no more than a week later can be redeeming.

Did she seem hesitant when giving her number? If not, then CALL HER. Trust me when a girl willingly gives a guy her number, she sort of "stesses" until he calls. If you wait to call, she begins to wonder what she may have done or said wrong
