A fashion trend.

While any defined style evolves, prep style derives from upper class private school clothing. Straight leg pants...khaki or chino.
Leather belts. Oxford [button down] dress shirts. Sweaters tied over the shoulders. Loafers--without socks. Navy blazers with crests on the pocket.

That's the core apparel. You can add Docksiders, Izod golf shirts, etc., too. It's an old money, New England kind of look but it's seen everywhere. Think classics...L.L. Bean.

a teenager who has access to their parents money and doesnt mind spending it on anything and everything including name brand clothes so that they can remain popular among their peers and up to date on the latest fashions..
