Well, almost every computer has spyware, even XP comes with build in spyware, there is to much money involved and your surving behaviour is known, not much to do about that.
Its just the badly written and annoying spyware we should and have to get rid of, they make irritating problems, the good spyware we never notice about it.
Most anti spyware is spyware itself and tries to get rid of the competition.

Some you can't tell thay stay hidden. So I would suggest getting a free spyware scan. Those things can save your computer.

There are many programs that detect spyware that are available online.
The best one in my opinion is http://www.webroot.com/consumer/products/spysweeper/ which I have been using for two years now. It is by far the most thorough of the cleaning applications out there.
You can also get several free spyware removal tools such as SpyBot, AdAware and http://www.doxdesk.com/parasite, but as I mentioned above, none are as thorough as SpySweeper.

If its downloading extremely slowly, you're continously having popups, and the screen keeps fading out, you've got a spyware virus.

Use spybot search and destroy. It's the best free anti-spyware program you can get.

basically u cant really tell. U can oni noe when things on ur com dun go well or somethin...
But its best to maintain ur protection on ur computer and u dun need to worry about such problems!
its like worry whether thieves will get into ur house and how to tell..... haha..

You can't tell and there is no where for you to look for it but you can run your anti virus program and it will get read of it if you think you have spy whare on your computer.

get windows defender... ad aware or some sort of antispyware prog... go to download.com and click on security quickly!!!
