They will wreak havoc on your yard. Mowing becomes a chore with mounds of dirt everywhere. Trap them or kill them or let lem have at it. But, if you let them have at it, even the ground will become soft when they dig near the surface and sometimes you can walk out in your yard and it will give way about 6 inches. I'd get rid of them ASAP.

Moles are very big pests! Go to any store that sells lawn and garden supplys and be sure to pick up grub and worm killer. Make sure that it does kill grubs and then I believe, it should kill other things moles eat. Once the food is gone for the Moles they should disappear. I have been told that they do eat flower bulbs but will leave other things alone like plants, flowers(without bulbs), ect. You will see mounds of dirt and tunnel like dirt sticking up from where they were burrowing. You could also try smoke bombs(sold at stores with lawn and garden stuff). With these, you light them and put them in the holes and it sends smoke into the tunnels and sends the moles packing. Cat litter clumps(from scoopable litter) put down the holes also will send them into another yard because cats are natural predators and moles will do what they can to get away from a cat.(this helps, I've done it myself with my mole problem)

Moles undermine rees, grass, shrubs, etc...
Get a garden sprayer load it with 1 can of coke (non diet coca-cola) , 5 tablespoons caster oil, 2 table spoons Vicks vapor oil.. Set to spray 25 gallons of water along with the contents of the spray canister... Spray it over the grass shrubs, etc. make sure to get up under the shrubs... 1batch of solution treats a yard 50 feet x 50 feet...
The solution will stick to the moles fur when they surface at night and when they get home thier husband/wife, will want nothing to do with them thus no next generation of moles and the generation you now have will die out or move on rather quickly... treat the whole yard every week and soon you will have no moles ... Also works for gophers..... If you have a rain you need to treat after the rain....

They can do much damage and the people above me have said. We have tried everything to get rid of them with no luck. Official mole traps have done nothing. Chemicals have done nothing. Maybe I'll try the mousetraps.

Moles are actually beneficial to your yard. They eat the grubs in the dirt that eat your grass and the moles airate your soil. They will go away when the food supply is gone.

They can destroy your vegetable crops. They can also leave huge holes and piles of dirt. It is up to you whether you choose to destroy them or not. I thought you meant moles the last time this question was asked. Thanks for the new question and I hope this helps you decide. They are cute little things to look at but very damaging.

they dig holes everywhere, they are really annoying, you can buy mole traps at any local co-op or feed store usually.........i use to have a dog that would dig them up and kill them but overall that makes the yard worse

they damage your yard by burrowing holes all over it. they also can eat flower bulbs.
my dad usually makes a trap for them using a mouse trap with peanut butter on them. for some reason they seem to love p.b.!
