If some one or a business gets extra money into their bank account that is not ment for that individual. Can they spend the money and no owe the bank any money back?

Hi, You can spend the money, but you can bet that the error will be found and you will have to pay it all back. Better to report the error to the bank or just leave it sit til they find it. Tempting though, isn't it?

Of course not. You have a moral obligation to report it. Even if there is a mistake that is caught later you will be liable for the money. Glenn Kawesch

The bank will catch the mistake and come after the bucks.

tell your bank as they will end up tracking the money down to you and requesting it back
