Good pipes do not have filters, only the cheap Dr. Graybow pipes. Smoking a pipe is the most healthy forms of smoking. You don't inhale pipe smoke. It is only for enjoying the flavor and aroma of pipe smoke.

A pipe does not have a filter in it. Most pipes do have a mesh screen in them to keep the tobacco from entering the neck of the pipe. Pipe smoke is not meant to be inhaled, but rather it is smoked to enjoy the flavor and aroma.
