it affects the mind if one makes it an object for worship or simply stares at it for long periods of time. It was related to pagan worship a long time ago when the moon was more important than later periods or even now. many people have an urge to seek in many areas for spiritual awareness. for some, the moon is that object. witch trials of long ago. one of the reasons for burnings was that people witnessed the accused dancing in the moonlight [worship of moon].
anything which can affect the tides of the earth has an enormous power. why would it just be limited to tides?
police in many areas of heavy population use moon phases to determine how much immediate police presence should be on hand during that phase.

There are actual studies out on this. The police station, Hospitals, and Bars are noted to be highly active on the night before and the night of the full moon.
Did you know your body is about 80% water? If the moon controls Tides and the Full moon contributes to the Highest of high Tides and the lowest as well, Then they think it is the same thing with the human body.
it is not yet proven sientifically, but they have been recerching the threoy forever!

I too am a wiccan and live by the power of our Lady Moon. All ritual and spell work I perform is done in the diffent stages of her and when she is full her powerful stream of loving bright light fills our soul. I use it to clense my crystils and many other uses in my day to day life. My children are always restless the night of full moon. Dreaming... feeling the crazyness of her energy!
All Hail Our Lady Moon

I don't think it makes me crazy, but i believe a Full Moon
does effect people. It's weird because sometimes at
work we will have just stupid things happen with customers,
and then i find myself wondering if its a Full Moon or not.
