I have to go to different businesses around the area to try and get people to come and live at the apartment complex that I work at. What are some good strategies and marketing tools that I could use for that?

Strategies, not sure...put an ad on craigslist.com though. Your apartment complex will be filled in no time. That is a great place for people to find a place to live. I used it for when I moved from L.A. to New York City.

You could do a direct mail...it does cost money but what it is is a postcard that you design through a company that advertises your apartment complex, and what they do is mail it out to all the other apartments in your town. It worked great for us. You could also add on the postcard that if they bring it in they get some sort of discount. Also, in my area there is an apartment finder guide that you could advertise in. It is very expensive though, just depends on how much your company is willing to spend. Also, I made my own flyers and hung them up at grocery stores, like wal mart, target anywhere where they have a bulletin board and also i mailed the flyers to local business's asking them to post it as well. There are tons of things you could do, some of which cost money, others just take time and patience! Good Luck!!!

If you have some larger companies in the area you can contact their HR dept to see if they have relocation services.

If all else fails, have a nice looking banner made up and put it somewhere it's visible to the street that reads "Live where you work" or "If you lived here, you'd already be home".
