I am going to Orlando in a couple of weeks and one of the days I have planed just to relax on the beach, you know to take a little break from all the parks!I know the closest beach to Orlando is hour-hour and a half away, but I am looking for a secluded beach, not many people,to be pretty and romantic! Thanks for your answer!:)))

Check out Fort De Soto, the North beach is great! Award winning in fact. There are nice park like areas for a picnic. From the parking area the actual beach is a bit of a walk but really nice. Okay so I'm raving on and on now so I'll say it, it's my favorite so far and I live in FL so I'm making comparisons against Cocoa, St. Pete Beach, Clearwater and the like. If you want the touristy Cocoa, St. Pete and Clearwater are great I'd probably rate them in this order Clearwater, Cocoa and then St. Pete. I'm including a link to Fort De Soto, so you can check it out but some other things to know; they have a dog beach on the South end, they have canoe and kayak rentals - and great areas to enjoy this activity, a nice place to bike or skate also, once you reach the beach areas you can find amenities like park tables and some restrooms however I didn't see much of anything in the way of food or drink down there so come prepared. Also you will pass through tolls on the way there. Anyway best wishes to you hope you have a wonderful trip!

In a few weeks ?? the tourist season is not at peak so you won't find alot of people at most beaches. most secluded beaches r in the keys. If you don't mind swimming w/the gators go down to kissimmee/st cloud areas lakefront beaches they really don't have alot of gators they have chainlink fence in the water to keep them out.
