I am applying for a job where they ask you to name some of your recent accomplishments. I have been caring for my parents for 10 years, other than that, I don't think I have any accomplishments! Can someone give me some ideas on what I can say?

Even though I had good grades, I have been out of school for a long time; I don't think anything I accomplished there is going to impress them. I'm 49

Grace,
Pull yourself up! Get a higher opinion of You!

Look under categories of job descriptions to see what each does, that pertains to the functions you have been performing....and don't forget things like dedication, loyalty, responsible, honest, Caring....

housekeeping, lawn/garden, cooking, cleaning, driving, errands, scheduling appointments.

Here's what to do: You write down what you do on a daily basis and your list will be way closer than the generalities offered above.

Do not under-estimate the value you have given.

Oh - while I think of it.....you may be interested in sharing your knowledge based on experience that can help others.

I hate that question! I don't really think they look at that too much though, but maybe you can name some accomplishments you had in school...if you can think of any. If not, make one up--chances are they won't look into it! Good Luck with the job! : )
