We have talked a lot. He's always finding a reason to phone me. When I go to his office we talk about US and finally He asked me out. I think he's the nicest man I've met, I had a c-section with him, he loves my baby, and I met him when I was pregnant. I like him but I thought he would be just a doctor to me and I thought he was just being nice to me until I realize that he was very interested about ME and finally he asked me out. I really like him. I'm 22 and he's a lot older than I, he's very nice, but what do you think about me dating my gynecologist, I sometimes think it would be weird, now he wants me to be more than only his patient

It is kindof a creepy love story about a girl who has a baby and meets a doctor and falls in love. Only to find out he has been sued by others who have been in his care and home bed. It would be a great novel. Seriously its kindof creepy but at the same time it could work out. I would do some investigating on the dates and not fully disclose your intentions until you trust him.

How many other women does he want to see more than just a patient? This is definitely not professional, especially if he's older.
I would do a criminal check on him to be sure. Sounds like he likes to take advantage or women at their most venerable state. In my opinion from just the things you've said.

Don't doctors have to take an oath or something that says they won't date their patients? I think that is kind of strange, but if you like him I don't see how it would be a problem.

I may be mistaken, but I don't think doctors are allowed to date their patients. I'm a counselor and I can't date my clients. I'd be careful, he may be acting unethically and he could lose his medical license.

Even doctors get to date someone. If you two get along OK, then that's fine. You may have to switch to a different doctor if you get serious, but I'm sure he knows someone who's good at his craft.

He could lose his license to practice medicine. It's highly unethical to date a patient.
