techniques scrutinized by tax payer funded social workers?

2006-11-10 07:56:50 · 6 answers · asked by Anonymous in Politics & Government Law & Ethics

If not than why do people have such a problem with parents providing their children with an academic education free from government scrutiny?

Surely, protecting children from physical abuse and neglect is more important than ensuring that those same kids are taught algebra and biology in the "right' way.

Manny,

Where did I ask about the patriot act here? This question is one of parental rights, not intelligence strategies

NO NO NO NO NO

In case you haven't noticed, CPS is NOT an effective organization.

It is NOT the government's job to raise children or tell parents how to raise their children (other than the basics of don't beat/kill/maim them).

Most people do not have a problem with people educating their children outside of the public school system. In fact, if you want your kids to have a decent education it is imperative to get them out of the public schools.

It is unconstitutional to force American citizens to submit to government inspection without just cause. Having children does not constitute just cause.

WHY DO YOU WANT MORE GOVERNMENT INTERVENTION? THE ONLY WAY TO GET OUR COUNTRY BACK TO THE GREAT PLACE IT WAS IS TO GET THE GOVERNMENT OFF OUR BACKS!!

NO, the one time one of them showed up at my house for teaching one of my kids respect, they get escorted to the curb and told to stay off the property. Unless they are gonna pay to feed/clothe/healthcare/dental etc for my kids than they have zip, nada, nothing I even care to hear.

At first I wanted to yell at you. lol I thought you were serious.
I agree with you though. How a child is taught is none of the government's business unless it is done with cruelty.

I am 100% against this.

However, if you are one of those that are all for the Patriot Act, and all that b/s, based off the crap saying, "Let them examine me, I have nothing to hide," then how would the proposed question be any different?

Ok, let me type it slower, may be you can then catch up to my reasoning. The idea that if you have nothing to hide, then you should allow anyone of government authority to inspect you and your home. That's a fairly broad concept, and can then be applied to other aspects of life:

- Sir, it is time for your parental inspection today, will you let me in? Well, I have nothing to hide, so come on in.

- Sir, it is time to inspect your home to make sure you aren't a terrorist, will you let me in? Well, I have nothing to hide...

- Sir, it is time to inspect your home to ensure that you aren't harbouring illegal aliens, will you let me in? well I have nothing to hide...

- Sir, it is time to inspect your home to make sure you have no illegal firearms, will you let me in. Wait just a gosh darn minute there!
