There really aren't any places in NC, the closest place would be Snowshoe WV.

To the guy above your a nut I lived in NC my entire life.There are many places to ski/snowboard,Sugar Mtn.,Beech Mtn.,Hawk Nest,App.Ski Mtn.,and the list goes on.As far as the best place in this state Sugar or Beech is best.Sure our slopes are not a large as other states but there are many choices in the state.

We prefer Sugar in Banner Elk (Boone area).
