The aspects are most important, not the signs. Not the particular planets, either. The most important aspect is when one person's Ascendant or Descendant is conjunct (within 8 degrees out of the 360-degree circle of the zodiac) the other person's Sun or Moon or Venus or Mars. If this type of contact is missing, the relationship is not likely to last long. And it doesn't matter how good the other aspects are.

Their [venus&mars] not that important, imo. Their only there to tell you what/whom you are attracted to in the first place[venus's job], while mars shows you the amount of energy you posses from a given particular sign.. and capricorn seems to be a good placement for mars.. as it shows that your energy is hard-working and ambitious towards anything you set your mind to... Taurus is esp. well placed on your venus, as venus represents the sign of taurus, It shows that you are among the attractive bunch and this link here (http://www.astrologyzine.com/flirting-with-venus-in-taurus.shtml ) pretty much explains everything...

your aries man, while esp. having his mars and venus Both in 'aries'.. it shows that he is very much attracted to a person that the 'typical' aries is supposed to be attracted to... here is the link to the type of woman he finds esp. interesting :{http://www.astrologyzine.com/attract-men-aries.shtml )

Though, at another source, they say that if your venus is conjunct[the same as] to your man's mars, you would both experience a passionate and happy marriage...

the same goes to, if your mars is squared to his venus, it would be a very passionate marriage.

But I think it comes down to your moon signs that are more imp. when deciding upon your compability with your partner... or esp. for the long-run...

If your moon sign is conjuct to your man's sun sign, that is if you also have an aries moon sign, that means you are likely to understand the nature of your aries more than any other signs, esp. when the going gets tough, and thus you are able to handle him more easily...

well venus is you love planet..what gets you turned on..and mars is what you want in a lover..

venus in taurus=romanitc, affectionate...don't want a fling..they are serious, devoted no matter what..they don't believe in cheating, are realistic and know what's there and are aware of their surroundings..they may be lazy but they sure aren't stupid...and they want to be in a secure relationship.

venus in aries=can you picture cupid with his bow and arrow pointed at a target? that's how an aries is..they see what's straight..not what's on the side..they want it..NO..the HAVE to GET IT... they are straighfoward, passionate lovers..they can cheat if you aren't interesting enough... they fall hard but can fall out pretty quickly too..

woman with mars in capricorn=she is attracted to stable, responsible man with goals in life..and he can be serious...she hates irresponsible and flighty men.

man with mars in aries=often attracted to a tomboylike, or athletic woman who is straighfoward, independant and strong..they hate ultra sensetive women.

Yes, those are two of the elements involved in finding compatibility between two people.

My best recommendation to you is to go to www.astro.com and make a chart for each of you. Then, you can make a synastry chart to see how truly compatible the two of you are. You can use the sections called "Astro Click Love," "Astro Partner," "Relationship," and I believe there's one more that I can't think of right now. :-X.

I'm going to include two interpretations: one is from Astrology-Numerology.com and the other is from Bob Marks Astrology.

First Astro-Numerology:
I recommend reading this article from them first:
http://www.astrology-numerology.com/synastry.html
Venus in Taurus produces a practical, stable, and constant persona. Your approach to love and romance is simple and direct. Your sincerity is attractive and often irresistible. You take love seriously and with careful consideration.

Yet, you can be so much fun to be around. You are rarely too serious-acting, moody or unhappy. You know how to have a good time and to help others to do the same. You are easygoing and cheerful most of the time.

There is an attraction to the luxuries of life, and often a tendency to overindulge in sensual pleasures. You may have a weakness for good food, good wine, fine furnishings and clothes, and many more objects and activities that delight the senses. The best of everything will be yours if you can figure a way to afford it all.

This large appetite extends to love-making and romantic involvement. This sign produces the most earthy sex drive.

When you fall in love, it is usually permanent and dependable. Your nature is faithful and permanent. You require a deep commitment from your partner and you are willing to give the same in return. You are loyal and a one-love person. But your demands on that one lover can be great.

If you feel insecure, you may become jealous and overbearing with your mate. Just as you are loyal and dependable, you are very possessive and jealous if your emotional security is threatened.

Aries
With Venus in Aries, you have an assertive self-expression in romantic situations. Venus in Aries is a demonstrative position, and produces tendencies for you to seek excitement in your love life. Cheerful and positive, you package yourself well. As one who is outgoing and full of enthusiasm, you're great in social situations. You are fun and exciting, and to more timid souls, a bit overwhelming.

Outgoing, affectionate, and sometimes flirtatious, you become competitive in seeking the affections of others. Romance is living for you. Romantic involvement is like a competition to be won, and you are not a particularly good loser. When you love life is not going well, you are irritable and very moody. Easily aroused, you have an instinct for romantic challenge and conquest. You are direct and aggressive in love endeavors. In attracting a lover, you are direct and full of adventure and enthusiasm. You have a dangerous tendency to fall in love at first sight, or at least quicker than most people. Yet, you can be somewhat impulsive and unstable where long term romance is concerned.

The romantic nature is impatient and careless sometimes. You don't take enough time to make long range plans or for truly needed practical considerations. Not surprisingly, early marriages are common with Venus in Aries. Sometimes, you may not have a deep understanding of other people's feelings.

Mars is at its strongest in Aries, its natural sign. This placement represents high energy, initiative, courage and impulsiveness. Most of the energies seem to come out as the physical and emotional type, but in Aries, Mars is very active and assertive in demonstrating enthusiasm for all four types of energy. This is a very powerful position for Mars.
You have an unrestricted drive to get projects done, to start new projects, and to act decisively. Your enthusiasm is contagious. An individualist with quite an ego, you always want to do things your way. Based on the influence of this planet taken by itself, you are not good at compromise or teamwork. There is a major part of you that always wants to charge out ahead of the pack and be the leader. Despite your apparent leadership abilities, you may function best when you are working alone and independently because of your demand to have your own way. If you are in a group, you will aspire to be the leader. Headstrong and independent, you won't tolerate opposition or interference and your temper can get you into trouble at times. Mars in Aries makes you very competitive in a variety of ways. This is perhaps the most courageous and enterprising Mars position.

You have a very strong sex drive which is spontaneous and easily aroused. Self-control can be a problems in this regard. As on the physical side, you are often unrestrained and very demanding emotionally.

The negative side of Mars in Aries is a lack of patience and discipline. Self-control and humility can be hard lessons, and often they are never mastered.

In Capricorn, the energies of Mars are channeled into the arena of personal attainment, and thus, the practical energy is highest here. Physical and Mental energies are sufficient, too, but emotionally, this placement may lack spark.
You are hard-working, very determined. Since much of your energy is focused on your career, you have a tendency to become something of a workaholic. There is a drive to satisfy professional ambitions. This is likely to manifest with innate managerial skills and good old-fashioned common sense. You have strong material urges, but even stronger is the need to get status and recognition. To attain these ends, you use your energy in very practical and profitable ways. You have little use for laziness or a lack of ambition.

Your sex drive is strong and you have a full appreciation of sensual pleasures. It's likely you conceal most of these feelings behind a stiff and conservative demeanor. Your public image is very dignified and reserved. It is as though you feel you must always be in control of yourself and your emotions. Mars in Capricorn is known for the ability to retain sexual vitality until very late in life. In these later years, you are apt to be less restrained than in your youth.

Your weakness in the action department is the tendency to be too cautious and skeptical. You are apt to miss some real opportunities on this account. You have difficulty breaking out of old habit patterns and you are slow to pick up on new ideas. Somewhat pessimistic, you go looking for problems and expecting the worst. You take responsibility seriously, often too seriously.

Bob Marks Astrology:
Venus in Aries: activates the expression of affection. Liz Taylor has this placement (and her Venus sits close to Uranus, planet of sudden, unexpected change; what a surprise). So did Marilyn Monroe and Jean Harlow. Julian Armistead once gave a lecture on Liz Taylor’s horoscope. He pointed out that Venus in Aries people need constant excitement in relationships. When things finally slow down and get comfortable, they start looking elsewhere.

Mars in Aries: You might say that Mars is at home here since it is the "ruler" of this sign. And Mars in Aries does tend to give extra energy as well as a constant need for activity. Mars shows the type of action we take, our style of action. In Aries, it is impulsive, tending to charge right in. People with this placement have to learn about "staying power" and sticking with something until it is finished.

Venus in Taurus: If you are going with someone who has this placement, be prepared to touch and massage them constantly. Too much is just barely enough for these folks. They love desert and as an aphrodisiac, something sweet works better than liqueur.

Mars in Capricorn: is great for the energy. This placement gives the ability to pace oneself so that you can keep going long after everyone else drops from exhaustion.

I hope this helps you :) Good luck!
