Weekend warrior's are for phonies - they don't want to serve their country, they're just out to get a handout and go to college more cheaply. And how can I get away with saying something so mean? Because unlike those "weekend warriors" I served my country active duty in the U.S Army during Desert Shield AND Desert Storm..... do I agree with why we were there? NO - but I still did my duty as a soldier of this country defending the freedom that everyone enjoys and doesn't always respect.

i am but havent went to basic training yet...wish me luck! EDIT...i have seen reserve and guard get deployed as much as active or more...there are alot of people when my husband was in that had been in the active army for 10-20 years and hadent seen any combat at all..
