yep, just as long the water doesn't completely freeze, you're fine...
even if there is ice on the top of the tank, they're fine.. just break the ice so gas exchange with the air and water can occur.
gold fish are/ were originally outside fish and they go through all sorts of weather.
i'm actually more worried about you than the fish... just don't let your house or apartment below 60° for your sake.
if you need aquarium equipments, i'm sure we can donate stuff. Part of being an aquarist is that we have crap laying around we don't use... Just ask this this forum i guess.

A few years ago We had a huge blizzard and our power went out for three days it got cold, really cold and my tank is freshwater tropical I don't know how cold it got but I did not lose a single fish. when it comes to goldfish I think as long as it is not frozen they will survive allot of people where I am from have outdoor ponds with goldfish and as long as they do not freeze solid the fish just go into a state of inactivity. hope this helps

I hae neighbours who leave their goldfish out in their pond all winter and most of them survive, and I live in Calgary Alberta where it can get to -40 and stay there for weeks. However, if you can live in the temperature, so can the fish, Pleas e see about getting some kindof heat in your house. You are much more important than any fish ever was or will be.

Goldfish can live outside all winter so they will be fine in an unheated house, as long as the water dosent freeze solid, keep a hole at the top at all times if it ever freezes.

Goldfish are carp, they can literally freeze and thaw in spring and do quite well. the others will live with the water temp as low as 36 degrees F.I suggest you just add a bubble bar to keep a good current in the water and they will do fine.
