First off I live in the state of Ohio. And I have an ex husband who visits my home frequently to see our daughter. Sometimes my ex can get very abusive, mentally and physically. My question is, even if I invite him in to see our daughter and then he starts to get out of hand and I ask him to leave and he refuses is that considered trespassing or not, because I originally let him in. What are my options at that point?

the minute you tell him to leave and he doesnt he is committing a crime (tresspassing). you can call the police at any given moment where you revoke your welcome and he refuses to leave.
The police probably wont do anything but force him to leave because it is very difficult to prosecute tresspassing, especially since he is the father of your children. but if they have to come to your house more than a few times, they'll get pissed and actually pursue charges.

It seems like this is a repeating offense. Why continue to allow it to happen? How about if you have him meet you at another location? I have known friends that meet at the police station. If there is a threat of violence you should be able to find a group to help you out. Unfortunately the police can't really do anything until something has happened. Be safe.

After you have requested an individual to remove him or herself from private property, for the individual to remain can constitute trespass. Contact your local PD.

Call the police if he will not leave. If he hits you, put him in jail and press charges. This is your property and if he will not leave after he has been ask, the police will remove him and if he comes back on the property they will arrest him.

If you invited him into your home, he is not trespassing. If he becomes abusive, that's another story.

When inviting him, I suspect he only has a "license" to be there, which can be revoked under certain circumstances.
