I just found out I don't have bad gas in my car. Diagnostics prove that it's a computer problem. Should I get a used (no guarantee) cheaper computer or a re-manufactured (two-year guarantee) expensive computer?

Big difference. The remanufactured computer will be reflashed with the latest software update. The used one could be several years behind and could make your car run bad.

Spin for the reman. You won't be sorry.

On electronics a warranty is the way to go. If the used unit dies tomorrow you're stuck. You can get a decent used unit from a reputable parts dealer, but none will have any warranty. If it causes a bigger problem (engine damage, fire, etc) then it is just your problem.

your best bet is a new one because it has update software, use parts are expose to dirt flowing around the junk yard or careless helper drop them. there is no guarantee that they will give you the right one. they always assume it the right one for your car. if you install the wrong one, sometime it will catch on fire and will cause you more damage.
