I am forever cracking my knuckles and i mean all the time. it has been happening for years and i know this is disgusting but i have even been cracking my toes! ewwww! how can i stop this from happening?

it could be OCD. Talk to your doctor if it is really that excessive.

It's a common, societally-accepted addictive behaviour. Try to limit the number of times you crack them that day. To help, try popping bubble wrap instead; it's the same type of tension-release pattern and may help you to feel satisfied.

Remember that there's no proven medical downside to it; the popping is theorized to be the release of some of the synovial fluid between your joints, which has no definite downside; it has nothing to do with calcium or cartilage or anything else. In fact, there was a study where a man cracked the fingers on only one of his hands for many many years, and at the end, his joints and mobility were no different for the cracked hand than the uncracked hand.

I had the same problem...I noticed I cracked my neck, knuckles, and ankles when I was stressed...so I tried to eliminate the stress. I also wore a rubberband on my wrist and popped it every time I was tempted to pop a body part. I know it sounds silly, but it has helped me. I still do it, but not nearly as much.

Get more calcium in your diet and just stop doing it!

i do it to my wrists i get tension in the try talkin yo your doc it can lead to serious arthritis
