it's fine as long as you dry them off COMPLETELY!!!! or they could get pneumonia and die.

I bathe my ferret about once per month, less in the winter months. You can find shampoo that is specific to ferret's at most pet supply stores but we use Johnson's baby shampoo. They recommend you do not bathe regularly because ferrets produce an oil in their fur, if you bathe too often they will go into over production in an attempt to replace what you have washed away. Additionally they say frequently bathed ferrets have a stronger body odor than ones that you bathe less frequently. Hope this helps.

yes as amatter of fact i just finished giving my two a bath. it was the first time i used a shower attachment!! zeus my 1 1/2 yr old male was loving it but asia my 3 1/2 month old female was a bit wary. any way as long as you use a ferret or kitten formula and have the water warm it will be fine(my two like it above luke warm it is WARM even to me) i would recomend a tear free formula so you can get their head with no fear of getting it in their eyes. you can fight them to get them completly dry or throw the towel in the cage after you have partialy dried them(that is what i do). if it is the first bath watch out some take to it readily(zues) and other can take some convincing(asia) but they do get used to it. DON"T over bath you ferret some people don't bath unless necassary and others range from once a week up to once every 6 months i do it about every week sometimes i forget (no big deal)

I'd use that kind of shampoo that you don't have to get your ferret wet on it. They sell it for dogs and cats and I assume for ferrets. Just to be on the safe side, contact an exotic animal vet and ask!

Absolutely, they have shampoo made specially for ferrets. They also sell drying towels, to help with making sure your little friend is not damp when he goes back in his cage.
