The founder or Apple, Steve Jobs, bought LucasFilm's computer graphics division in 1986 and that started Pixar
In 1991, Pixar entered into a feature film agreement with Disney where Pixar will create animated films and Disney will market the films. In Jan 2006, Pixar signed the agreement to merge with Disney

I think they use a Number of G5 Macs there along with Silicon Graphics Machines for other Digital Rendering!
