I visited my friend's questions and she asked what the most romantic dance was. My answer would have been the rumba because I dance that. I read that some people thought that the tango was overrated or sluteeeeeeeeeee. I don't feel that way. I think it's passionate and extreme. It's a dance with great rythm.

I love the tango. It's very passionate and sultry. Very hard dance to learn, lots of footwork. Probably my favorite ballroom dance.

Yes, I agree that Tango is passionate and exrtreme. I love it. I can't call it romantic though. Possibly, Argentine Tango can be considered romantic at some moments, but not the Ballroom Tango. There is too much conflict and passionate energy in it. Romantic dances in my view are Rumba, Bolero, Waltz, Vienneze Waltz, possibly Foxtrot.

The tango can be very very slutty. After all, it originated in Argentinian brothels! You know that move where the woman kicks a leg up around her partner and slides her calf down the back of his leg? Prostitutes came up with that move so they could check to see if the man had his wallet!
Modern ballroom tango is very tame compared to the dances they used to do in the parlors of the bordellos. You can dance tango and be sensual, tense, dangerous, and still be proper. Just be aware that just below the surface are all sorts of wicked, lusty, back-ally moves just waiting to be unleashed.

I think the tango is a complicated but very romantic dance. I don't think I could dance to it (its hard to do a solo to the tango).
